Any developer knows that coding applications takes time, time that is so precious and “free”. So one thought was of course to see if Wair could be stable enough to release as Pro… that means for a little amount of $. But to be worth it, there must be something that the free Wair does not have or something that is better.
So i tested to transfer a file about 25mb in size to my Nexus S and as expected yet impressed as i was, it worked very well. So to make file transfer easier and Wair more friendly for files i need a custom file-browser, which is the current topic in my to-do list that im working on.
Nexus S (Android overall) dont have a good file browser when calling File.browse(). It only gives 2 alternatives such as Images and Videos, but the rest of the files need something more advanced.
So, hold on, as soon custom browser is ready and working, a new update for PlayBook and Android is to be released. Desktops already have a good browser so there is no need for customs.
I have tried using this to transfer from a playbook to a pc. Successfully installed, but neither of the devices detect that the other has logged in. So no upload/transfer allowed…. Both devices show the same network – but both show 1 connection.
Networknames are case sensitive. Also worth to mention is that in some cases, connection between devices and your router may cause disfunction.
Ex. i can not use Wair at work on my phone. The way i see that is the WiFi icon is grey instead of green as it normally is green. Grey normally indicates not being connected to Google services, but there is something missing with connection that may cause unexpected behaviour.
If possible, trye to run on 3G since the app is supporting both cellular and local network connections.
